Count down has begun!

Ry was trying to get the baby to come into the bathroom with her this morning.  He was quite content in the bedroom w/ me but she wanted him to come to her right away.  He wasn't coming so she says "I am going to count down from ten and you better be in here".

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1 1/2, 1 1/4, 1 and 1 minute....."

Needless to say the count down started over and after the third time counting down she gave up and the baby stayed with me.

Clearance Buys

Rylin was packing different items from around the house in to shopping bags.  She would then take her made up "scanner" and scan the items and then hand the shopper cash so they could pay for the items.

While shopping she said "Mom I just bought a cash register for $1.  All the other ones were $75 but I found just this one on clearance."!!!!!!

Girls Night Out

Ry was playing with barbies in her room when she drove the barbie car  (full of barbies) down the and into the living room where I was sitting.  She showed me the car and how loaded it was with barbies.  I asked where her barbies were going (they were all dressed fancy) to which the following conversation occurred:

Ry - "They are going on a girls night out."

Me - "Oh what do they do on girls night outs?"

Ry - "Well they are just going to dinner and dancing, then take a limo to a hotel where they will stay for one week."

Me - "Wow dancing sounds fun, what kind of dancing will they do?"

Ry - "Oh you know the kind where there are no boys and the girls just dance!"

She also went on to talk about what daddy and I would do on our date that night.....

"You guys will eat dinner then dance close to each other and slow then kiss.  You know you should go to a hotel and stay then we can go to some ones house and spend the night....... you know like a honeymoon!"

Should I be worried now or in 10 yrs????

Always Kiss Me Goodnight

A good friend of mine was getting her 9 yr old son ready for bed when he informed her:


"I'm going to give you a kiss goodnight, but I have to warn you that this will be pretty much the last time. Kisses are really gross. So unless I change my mind tomorrow, this will be the last time I kiss you goodnight. Can you kiss me back now, please?"

Tooth Fairy Confusion

Kadin (11) pulled his loose tooth out last night.  He put it in a ziploc bag, preparing to lay it under his pillow, and set it on the coffee table.  He then had a friend come over and completely forgot to grab the tooth and put it under his pillow.  Rylin (6) came along, saw the tooth and decided to take it for her self.  She took the tooth and put it under her pillow in hopes she would get money!

The next morning she comes into our room and says "I put Kadin's tooth on his bed".  Our response was "why do you have Kadin's tooth"?  To which she says "I took it and put it under my pillow to see if the tooth fairy would bring me money"!

The tooth fairy forgot that a tooth was even lost in the house, man she lucked out!

You have enough

Little background info for you all.  For the last year I have been begging my husband for either another baby or a chocolate labrador puppy and his response is always no.  Well last weekend I found 2 wk old lab puppies for sale and fell in love!  I asked my wonderful and amazing husband if I could please please please have one and to my surprise he said fine.  I was so extremely excited and we went to put down a deposit and pick out our new family member.  Later that night he let me know that he said fine just so he didn't have to hear me anymore (whatever I got my way)!

Well almost a week later we are sitting on the couch watching Eat Pray Love and they show the cutest african american baby (weak spot in my heart) you have ever seen.  Of course I said "oh look at that cute little face" to which my daughter replies "you already have a puppy, don't you have enough?".
