Tooth Fairy Confusion

Kadin (11) pulled his loose tooth out last night.  He put it in a ziploc bag, preparing to lay it under his pillow, and set it on the coffee table.  He then had a friend come over and completely forgot to grab the tooth and put it under his pillow.  Rylin (6) came along, saw the tooth and decided to take it for her self.  She took the tooth and put it under her pillow in hopes she would get money!

The next morning she comes into our room and says "I put Kadin's tooth on his bed".  Our response was "why do you have Kadin's tooth"?  To which she says "I took it and put it under my pillow to see if the tooth fairy would bring me money"!

The tooth fairy forgot that a tooth was even lost in the house, man she lucked out!

You have enough

Little background info for you all.  For the last year I have been begging my husband for either another baby or a chocolate labrador puppy and his response is always no.  Well last weekend I found 2 wk old lab puppies for sale and fell in love!  I asked my wonderful and amazing husband if I could please please please have one and to my surprise he said fine.  I was so extremely excited and we went to put down a deposit and pick out our new family member.  Later that night he let me know that he said fine just so he didn't have to hear me anymore (whatever I got my way)!

Well almost a week later we are sitting on the couch watching Eat Pray Love and they show the cutest african american baby (weak spot in my heart) you have ever seen.  Of course I said "oh look at that cute little face" to which my daughter replies "you already have a puppy, don't you have enough?".

Black Friday

Unlike many years where I get up before the sun to shop, I choose to sleep in and hope that when I do get out all my goodies are still there.

I got up late and asked Ry if she would like to venture out shopping w/ me to which she replies "Yep let me get dressed first".

We quickly made our way to Staples, bought our one item and then headed to Shopko.  While walking in to Shopko I explained that we were going to buy a razor for dad then head to Target.

Ry immediatley asked why we were only buying one thing at every store?  I explained to her about "Black Friday" deals and that the stores are crazy so we want to get in and out fast.

She thought for a moment and then said "Oh man I should have woren black"!

Can we talk now?

I was asked to watch my neighbor girls A (age 6) and C (age 4) yesterday to which I said of course.  We were having a great day and decided to make Apple Cupcakes w/ Caramel Frosting and Caramel Apple Hershey Kisses, YUMMY!!!!  I realized that the only apples I had on hand were red delicious  (everyone knows granny smiths are the best cooking apples) so we loaded in the car and headed out to Fred Meyers.

The girls became really loud and they were driving my sis crazy so her fix was to play the silent game with them.  She told the girls that if they were quiet all the way to Fred Meyers she would give them each a quarter to use in the machines that give toys.  She explained the rules and the game began!

We made it to Fred's with out a peep, WOW!

I opened the door to help C get out of the car and she looked at me with such pain and agony and asked "Can we talk now?".

Just in case you were wondering they got their quarters and spent them on tattoos.

Commercial Debut

While enjoying a last minute before bed snack Ry decided to film/star in a commercial.  Never mind that she is drinking out of a sippy cup (we use them for bedtime water) and has no pants on.  Please forward all future commercial opportunity's to her manager and wonderful mother, LOL!

Wishes do come true!!!!

Today we had a friends little girl over to play.  C and Ry were jumping on the trampoline having a wonderful time.  While jumping Ry accidentally kicked C in the mouth knocking out one of her top teeth.  Now this tooth was loose already and C was hoping it would fall out soon, so when we realized it was gone her first comment was "well where is my tooth, I need it"?  Ry went and found the tooth then instantly became cranky and shut herself in her bedroom.  C asked why Ry was upset to which I responded "she thinks your mad at her for accidentally knocking your tooth out".  C's reply "I am not mad, actually she made all my wishes come true"!!!!

What a heart this little girl has and we are blessed to call her our friend!

Best Coffee Ever

Ry was on her way down the stairs to her play room and on the way she asked, "what kind of coffee do you want mom?".  I replied a mocha.  She says that's not your order do it right, of which I repeat the right order.  She proceeded to play in the play room for the next 15 minutes or so and then came up stairs with a feast, including coffee!  I ate the food and started to drink the "coffee" and stated how wonderful it tasted.  Her comment to me "I do make good coffee, I added lots of extra wine"!!!!!!!

The different flavors of milk!

The kids and I were driving along back country roads talking about school lunches and what flavors of milk you can get with them.  Kadin stated that the chocolate and strawberry milk school served was really good but the regular milk was disgusting.  At that same moment we passed a cattle ranch to which Kadin states (with a serious look and tone of voice) "you know I have always really wondered if chocolate milk comes from brown cows and strawberry milk comes from pink cows"!

Really child, you are 11 years old and your asking me that question.  My response was "well have you ever seen a real live pink cow on a farm".  His response was a handsome cheeky smile!!!!  Man I love that boy!!!

Adoption

We were talking about grandkids and great grandparents and Rylin proceeded to tell me that she wasn't going to have any kids.  Shocked and I will admit disappointed I looked at here and said "Really?".  Her response was I am going to adopt a cute little boy from Epeopia (Ethiopia)!!!!

Big Creepy Legs

Ry went downstairs this evening to get Kadin his sleeping bag from under the stairs (why? that is another blog).  As she was coming up the stairs she yells "hey there is a hobo spider down stairs with big creepy legs".  I respond with "oh well", so she proceeds into the bedroom and tells daddy the same description.  He asks her if she killed it and her reply "NO I didn't want to get my shoes dirty".

Don't worry daddy went down stairs and killed the spider which was NOT a hobo spider!!!

Santa and the Red Suit

Let me take you back a couple months when I posted the following:

Before getting into this post you must know a little about my dad.  He is a big guy  (6'4) who has a long grey beard, longer grey hair and a big round belly (yes it shakes like a bowl full of jelly).  Kids this time of year tend to do a double take when he walks by!!!!

Well one day last week he was enjoying lunch at Subway when he saw a little boy deep in conversation with his father.  The little boy who is 4 kept staring at my dad with a look of confusion on his face.  Finally after a few minutes the little boy turned to his dad and said "Look dad even Santa eats at Subway".

Now to current days post:

This same little boy and his family live just down the road from my parents.  Everyday when they drive home he sees my dad out mowing the lawn, getting the mail, etc...  The other day while driving by with his father the little boy  asked "why doesn't santa wear his red suit when he is at home?".

Don't interrupt our moment!

Every night before bed I read Rylin 3 books.  Well tonight she decided it would be great if she read to me instead, I happily agreed.  She started reading me "her version" of the book when Kadin pops in the door way belting out his newly composed rock song (guitar and all).  Rylin stopped reading and just stared at her brother in awe or maybe disgust!  She continued to stare at him as he keeps adding more and more versus to his song.  All of a sudden she puts her hands on her hips and states "Kadin your ruining our moment"!!!!!!

Check yes or no....

A friend was greeting her daughter after school today when she was handed a note. J looked at the note and realized it was a "circle yes or no" letter.

Here is what it said..... "To: K's Mom Can K come and play at my house on my swing sex. yes or no."

Pretty sure she meant to write a T!!!!!

Faster Baby

I fear the day my 6 yr old daughter Rylin gets a drivers license. We were behind a very slow car on the freeway (were talkin 45 mph) and I was getting rather frustrated as the speed limit is 60 mph.  Pretty soon I hear a tremendously loud voice pipe up from the back seat stating  "Hey slow poker get faster baby"!!!!

Am I a thief?

Are you considered a thief if you take a quarter out of your Dad's drawer because you thought it would take too long to go ask him?

Deep thoughts of a 6 yr old boy!!!!

Oh how I love!

Our family tradition on Super Bowl Sunday is to eat an array of greasy, salt loaded frozen snack foods, YUMMY!!!  Well this year I thought it would be fun to make virgin Margaritas for the kids instead of serving them root beer again.   I got all the ingredients ready and started crushing the ice in the blender when my 6yr old wandered in the kitchen and asked "What are you making"?  I told her margaritas for you and brother!!  Her reply "I don't know if I like Margaritas but I LOVE COFFEE"!

I promise she does not get served coffee but will sneak a drink of my mochas when I am not looking!

Trip to the Cafeteria

A friend of ours just moved into a new house that conveniently has a large pantry in the kitchen.  Their 5 yr old daughter is in love with the idea of being able to store all that great food in one large accessible place.  One day the little girl went to her mom and asked if she could get a "snack from the cafeteria".

Have to love a little ones out look on things!!!

How are babies made????

My best friend and her 5 yr. old son were talking about when his little sister was a baby.  They were having a great conversation when he piped up with, "Mom how did I get made in your tummy"?  She was a little taken aback and did not answer right away.  He then proceeded to say "Did a worm hit the thing and explode and then you puked".  She immediately asked, "where did you get that idea". His response "from a movie I watched at grandmas".  She quickly called her mom and asked what movie she was allowing the kids to watch.   The answer Look Who's Talking.
